The Original Food Company Bakery, next door to the Red Cross Charity Store, Gawler St MtBarker. Has won another award, we were not surprised. If you consider your self a pie gastronome this is the place, the range of fresh baked choices are excellent, through to a cabinet displaying mouth watering cakes. Lunch time is busy, but we have found the staff very helpful and friendly. There is a good range of seating options inside and outside along the foot path. The coffee is nice and smooth with a pleasant lingering after taste. News papers are provided for your leisure as you relax over a pleasant lunch.

Dreadful place would not go back again. Wanted a piece of carrot cake refused to sell a slice BUT I could have the whole cake for $13 - I only wanted a slice with a coffee. Settled on an uninteresting custard tart and a sadly weak coffee that finally arrived after my custard tart had been eaten. Husband ordered an apricot slice said it was uninspired with no real apricot taste. The green tea he ordered came as a cup of lukewarm water and a teabag in the saucer - 15 years of living in the USA we had gotten used to that - BUT here in the land of knowing how to make tea well it was horrid. He also commented and pointed out that for the price there was not even a full cup of lukewarm water..... We should have gone with our gut feeling when we walked in and walked straight out and up the street to our usual place Millies of course. Lost two visitors to Mount Barker that is for sure
